Rosh Zeeba (they/them, born in Tehran) works in the fields of film, multimedia, performance and artistic research. In their works, Zeeba develops multidirectional narratives that negotiate localizations of Iranian queer belonging, politics of image production, body and queer storytelling. Their topics are: Intersections, glitching, irritation, entanglement, torn threads, post-cyberfeminism, queer theory, artistic research on radical image production, memory and dreams, ghosts and intergenerational trauma, Iranian mythology and soft world-building.Zeebas works have taken place at Thessaloniki Queer Arts Festival, Tetem (NL), Balkan Can Kino (Athens), Leuphana University, Kunstverein Harburger Bahnhof, Fluctoplasma Festival, Favoriten Festival Dortmund, XPOSED Queer Filmfestival Berlin, KH7 Artspace (Denmark) and Grrl Haus Cinema (Berlin/Boston), Kunstverein Gastgarten, Hamburg, Utrecht Queer film Festival, Netherlands. and Rawy Film, Berlin, among others. As part of the para-institutional project Haus Of Xhaos Zeeba curates FEEVA (Forum for Experimental and Emancipatory Video Art) and hosts a monthly podcast.
